As part of a comprehensive strategy to reach new readers, Quackenworth Publishing has announced it will release seven new children’s books encompassing readers from age 2 to age 12. Pete Has Big Feet, a board book, is targeted at early readers ranging from toddlers to 4 years of age. The Three Little Figs, Ray Jay and the Grumpy Tree of East Side Park, both picture books, are intended for readers 4 to 8 years of age. Along with the release of tradition books, the company will also release educational activity books. These activity books will target the elementary and middle school markets. All of the books will be available in mid March of 2006.

Up to now, Quackenworth Publishing competed in the chapter book (age 8 to 10 market) category with its award-winning Quigley McCormick series of books. The first in the series, Quigley McCormick and the Curse of the Polka Dotted Pig, experienced enormous success. The company is planning to release the second book in the Quigley McCormick series, Quigley McCormick and the Stuperton Conspiracy, in April of 2006. The third book in the Quigley McCormick series is expected in September of 2006.
