Emceed by local celebrity Don Wick of the Economic Development Association of Skagit County, attendees will meet Magno and his three-legged assistance dog Katie. The pair, nicknamed the MS Express, plans to make a cross-country trek this summer, traveling from Seattle to New York City in antique, electric wheelchair “Blu.” On behalf of the City of Anacortes and The Spirit of Hope Foundation, the mission of the MS Express is to raise awareness for handicapped accessibility issues and $1 million to kick Multiple Sclerosis from coast to coast.

“We’ve been planning this trip for a long time,” Magno said. “We are anxious to finally make our dream a reality. I hope you’ll join us in April to learn more about our exciting adventure.”

Founded by Carlo Magno, The Spirit of Hope Foundation devotes its resources to education and advocacy for Multiple Sclerosis and to accessibility and quality of life issues for the disabled. The foundation is committed to helping individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis to maintain independence, physical health, and emotional well-being through resource networking.

Join Carlo and Katie for this family-friendly event and to support their cause. For more information or to make reservations, contact Carlo Magno at 360-630-1044 or carlo@thespiritofhope.org. Seating is limited to the first 200 guests, so RSVP early.
