College Football Blog Announces Retrospective National Championship Project
March 13, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Sports NewsBeginning March 13, 2006, College Football Blog will launch its Retrospective National Championship Project. The project will retroactively name one national champion for each of the 136 college football seasons from 1869-2005. (There was no football played in 1871.)
Each Monday for 25 weeks leading up to the beginning of the 2006 college football season, College Football Blog will announce five national championship teams and take a retrospective look at each team. On each of the first two Mondays, 10 teams will be released, 1869-1879 on March 13 and 1880-1889 on March 20.
On the final Monday of the project, August 28, College Football Blog will release national championship picks for 2000-2004. Finally on Wednesday, August 30, College Football Blog will take a look at the 2005 national champion.
