DATELINE: BOSTON, MA…Armed with new X4 Power patented Quattro Bolt Locking Mechanism and legendary theft deterring M-Cylinder lock, Todson, the U.S. distributors of the world-renowned OnGuard brand, has just released their fiercest line of OnGuard locks yet, designed specifically for optimum power sports security.

Pioneering a whole new generation of locks, OnGuard’s X4 Power patented Quattro Bolt Locking Mechanism contains an anti-drill steel ball for superior pick, pull and drill resistance and the brute strength to hold up to the severest physical attack. OnGuard locks come with a lifetime warrantee, four laser cut keys and one microlight key for night-time use (with all M-key locks), key registration and free key replacement service, and “Keyed Alike” feature.

Bringing out the “big dogs”
Forget the bark, OnGuard’s new 2006 line is all bite:

OnGuard’s Beast locks are the biggest and beastliest you can get on the market. The new Beast 5016 is a 3’7” long x 5/8” thick ultra-hardened reinforced steel chain with a massive 4/6” hardened ultra steel shackle. The chain and dual steel bar locking mechanism are the toughest around but gentle on your power sport’s finish, with a double rubber coating on the lock and water resistant cover on the chain to prevent scratching. OnGuard offers anti-theft protection of $1,400 (for power sport only) on the Beast 5016 (MSRP $119.98). The Beast 5017 (3’7” x ½”) and Beast 5018 (5’4” x ½”) both have OnGuard’s X4 Power patented Quattro Bolt Locking Mechanism and all the other “beastie” features in addition to anti-theft protection of up to $3,501 for bikes and $1,001 for power sports. (5017 MSRP $95.98 and 5018 MSRP $119.98.) Just need a serious chain? Opt for the 7’x 1/2” Beast 5018L. The Beast 5016, 5017 and 5018 all have highest security rating around, earning five-plus stars.

Get the same theft-deterring power, but less chain with OnGuard’s new Mastiff 5019LP chain lock. The ultra-hardened reinforced steel chain has a cinch loop design which requires less chain (4’ 4” x 3/8”) in an effective lock-up. The Mastiff 5019LP (MSRP $99.98) has a five star rating and an anti-theft protection offer of $3,001 for bikes and $1,000 for power sports.

Prefer cable? The mean Rottweiler 5023 (2’8” long) and 5023L (7’4” long) have vicious ½” twisted steel cables protected by hardened steel links and dual steel ball locking mechanism for the strongest anti-pick, anti-pull and anti-drill defense. This four star cable lock is sheathed in a tough vinyl cover to protect bikes and equipment against scratches. (5023 MSRP $65.98 and 5023L MSRP $119.98.)

Also providing the X4 Power patented Quattro Bolt Locking Mechanism is the Boxer 5048C, a 2.2” x 2.2” disc lock with a massive ½” hardened steel, orange colored shackle providing maximum cut resistance. A reinforced sleeve over the crossbar and cylinder provides additional security. The Boxer 5048C carries $700 (power sport only) anti-theft protection and has a five star security rating. The lock has a protective vinyl coating and rotating dust cover. Complete with a carrying pouch with belt clip and disc lock reminder cable, the Boxer 5048C retails at around $39.98.

OnGuard locks may be obtained at more than 3,000 specialty bike stores and 1,500 power sports stores nationwide. For more information or to locate an OnGuard retailer, visit www.onguardlock.com.
