Promo), a strategic marketing agency, have launched the first phase of an online promotion for MGA Entertainment’s new line of Bratz™ Genie Magic™ dolls and the video/DVD release of the movie “Bratz™ Genie Magic™,” coming out on April 11.

Titled “The Bratz™ Genie Magic™ Win a Wish Sweepstakes,” the Web contest coincides with a national television advertising campaign and E-mail marketing campaign supporting the promotion.

Considered divas of the doll world, Bratz™ dolls are cool and have a “Passion for Fashion™.” Just ask any girl under the age of 12. That’s exactly the vibe Geary Interactive and L.A. Promo hoped to create with its Bratz Genie Magic sweepstakes site.

The first phase of the site launched this week and features a personal Bratz™ genie guide named Katia™ (brought to life through MAYA 3-D animation) who challenges kids to read her mind for a daily chance to win one of three wishes/prize packages:

• A Bratz Genie Magic Doll and As You Wish! Board Game
• Bratz Genie Magic Bottle, Katia doll and (4) 150-piece puzzle and stickers
• Bratz Genie Magic Ball and doll with magic carpet stand

Currently the contest features one category of questions, “Animalz,” in which users are encouraged to guess what animal Katia is thinking of. Upon completion of the audible quiz, users sign up for a chance to win one of the prizes and join the Bratz Fan Club.

Other site features include a video preview of the movie and a Refer a Friend button to invite others to play the game and enter the sweepstakes.

Geary Interactive reports that since its debut, the site has attracted considerable traffic and game play, sure to ramp up through the month as a result of complementary offline promotions.

The final phase of the site, launching March 15, will include four additional categories of quiz questions (Fashion, Food, Sportz and Places), free downloadable Bratz “goodies” (including a cool widget) and new Katia™ animation sequences.
