LOS ANGELES, CA - UCLA’s Head Coach Karl Dorrell and the Athletic Department have introduced a great program for adult Bruin football fans of all ages, shapes and sizes: “Bruin Flashback Football™, A Fantasy Football Camp for Grown-up Kids.” Bruin football fans get the unique opportunity on June 8th to relive great moments in Bruin football history and to step inside the UCLA football program as a Bruin Flashback Player, a Flashback Coach or a Flashback Owner.

Campers will play, train and learn from Head Coach Karl Dorrell, his staff and some of the Bruins greatest past players, including Freeman McNeil, Cade McNown, Tom Ramsey, Billy Kilmer, and former coach Terry Donahue just to name a few of the greats returning to the campus.

As a Flashback Player, you’ll participate in all of the drills and competitions - individually and as a team member – in each session. You will experience what it is like to be a Bruin Football Player. Competitions take place on and off of the field. In addition to executing offensive and defensive schemes from UCLA’s current playbook, you’ll be called upon to execute some of the great plays from years past!

As a Flashback Coach, you team up with the Flashback Owner to draft a Flashback team in a closed door session following the first workout. You will participate in special “chalk-talk” sessions to enhance your understanding of UCLA Football (an insider’s view) and the various competitive arenas of Bruin Flashback Football™.

As a Flashback Owner, you get to evaluate the assembled talent, draft each player for your team, and work with your Flashback Coaches to prepare your team for all of the Flashback competitions. Flashback Owners will have special sessions with Coach Dorell and other members of the UCLA coaching staff.

The winning Flashback Owner is a VIP guest of UCLA Football at an away football game. Winning Flashback team members will receive sideline passes for a UCLA Home Football Game.

Bruin fans will get an exclusive opportunity to experience what it is like to be an incoming player at the University California Los Angeles and, in the process, gain an insider’s perspective of the UCLA championship football philosophy. Participants will certainly feel that they have stepped into the “inner circle” as they learn from and swap jokes with the coaching staff and former Bruin Greats. A private, VIP dinner will be held with Bruin Greats the second night of camp.

Bruin diehards will love that they will be tested on UCLA Football history and hear personal flashback stories straight from the Bruin Greats. Autograph hounds can get cherished signatures from their favorite Flashback players. The three-day awe-inspiring camp concludes with a once-in-a-lifetime team competition inside the historic Rose Bowl complete with the Bruin band and walking down the tunnel onto the great field. Camp participants will stay at The Westwood on Wilshire Hotel in Westwood, formerly the Doubletree Hotel – Westwood, and the historic Ritz Carlton in Pasadena.

Bruin Flashback Football™ kicks-off June 8-10, 2006. Cost of the camp ranges from $1,500 to $3,500 depending upon the category of participation. To secure a roster spot or learn more about Bruin Flashback Football, please visit www.flashbackcamps.com./ucla or call 925.558.2742.
