WyzAnt, Inc., a tutoring company in Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland, is now providing free tutoring to deserving students through its charity, WyzAide. WyzAnt, pronounced 'wise-ant,' is a tutoring company that has over ninety part-time tutors teaching more than eighty subjects. The company offers an advanced website (www.wyzant.com) that allows visitors to search for a tutor by a number of criteria. Once you find a tutor on WyzAnt.com, you can schedule and pay for the tutor right online, simplifying the often-troublesome task of hiring a tutor.

WyzAnt hopes to help address the inadequacies it sees in the education system by creating equal footing for driven students who lack the resources to pay for private tutoring. Through WyzAide, WyzAnt is "sponsoring" several students for the remainder of the school year. These students will receive one-on-one instruction in their toughest subjects on a biweekly basis. Since WyzAnt has tutors for nearly every academic subject (as well as athletics, music, computers and more), it will be able to accommodate most any high school studentís schedule, in both academics and extra-curriculars.

"We look at this as a challenge to see how big of a difference we can make in our sponsored students' academic performance and ultimately their lives," says WyzAnt cofounder, Andrew Geant. "With the help of the sponsored studentsí teachers and parents, we believe that the sky is the limit for these students and are excited to see them progress."

WyzAnt is looking for students who have demonstrated dedication to their studies, have high aspirations for their academic and professional futures, and who sincerely desire assistance. For more information, please visit www.wyzant.com. You can also contact WyzAnt directly at 703-945-1835.
