NEW YORK, NY - March 25, 2006 - TedJob.Com (www.tedjob.com) is a Website that meets the unique recruitment needs of colleges, universities and other academic institutions. It provides career services to employers, faculty members and job seekers.

"I was seeking a faculty position," Henry Gu, founder of TedJob.com said, "and came across many non-user-friendly Websites every day. The process was time consuming and inefficient and precious research time was being sacrificed."

Gu also noted that there were no sites that addressed the comprehensive recruitment needs of academic institutions: executive, faculty, staff, post-doctoral and graduate assistant positions all in one place.

Helping these academic organizations find a comprehensive resource for their human resource needs became Gu’s pet project. To serve that niche, he launched a user-friendly higher-education career Website in January, 2006.

"The site is more powerful and has more features than initially planned," Gu explained.
"I am confident that it’s the best in the industry and offers features that others do not. Website traffic is also increasing daily - approximately 10,000 page views per day."

One feature - "Build my site" - allows users to build a dynamic career section and post it to their organizations’ site within minutes. This feature is mainly for smaller academic organizations who have limited financial resources or no access to a full-time web developer.

"We use AJAX, an innovative technology, to accomplish this," Gu added. "There are only a few Internet giants such as Google and Yahoo that are able to build sites using AJAX; we are the only career site who provides this service."

Other services and features include: a powerful search tool; interactive maps to pinpoint job locations; a resume collection service; and free resume search service. Users can browse jobs by category, location, or through keyword searches.

Users who sign up before June 1, 2006, will receive all postings, free, for one year. Future prices will be $29.99 per job - still much lower than other sites. Postings for postdoctoral jobs are always free and low-price policy is guaranteed.

To maintain its reputation as a leader in the industry, partnerships are beneficial; they bring more benefits to a wider audience of people. A recent agreement was made with the Southern California Higher Education Recruitment Consortium to introduce the site to its members.
