Spreadsheet Risks Conference addresses Sarbanes-Oxley concerns

London, England - December 28, 2004 - European Spreadsheet Risks Interest Group (EuSpRIG)

EuSpRIG is issuing a Call for Papers for the 2005 conference on "Managing Spreadsheets in the light of Sarbanes-Oxley". The submission deadline is March 11, 2005.

The programme will concentrate on all aspects of the management of spreadsheets including:
- assessing current spreadsheet use
- risk and other classification systems
- proving effectiveness
- available controls techniques
- planning which kind of techniques fit which risks
- maintaining integrity and compliance

EuSpRIG are seeking the following types of submission:
Full academic papers (up to 5000 words),
Management summaries (up to 2000 words).
We invite original papers from both new and established researchers within the academic and practitioner communities that present material related to the conference themes. The conference proceedings will be published by EuSpRIG.
The conference will provide experts with an opportunity to share their work with a broad range of researchers, practitioners and recognised leaders in the field of spreadsheet research.
