This show will benefit two non-profit organizations: Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) and the Guchusum Movement. Guchusum provides medical care to Tibetan monks living in exile in India. It is recognized and supported in part by the Dalai Lama.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
President of the Tibetan Association, Tenzin Tsultrim, will present and translate for keynote speaker, Lhundup. Lhundup is a former political prisoner who in 1988 took part in a peaceful protest that led to his imprisonment, torture and eventual exile.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
John Francis is a folk/rock artist with an impressive resume of appearances at both the Apple Farm Arts Festival and the Philadelphia Folk Festival.

Melody Gardot is a jazz/folk artist who supports the Tibetan cause through her website by donating a portion of her CD sales to the Guchusum movement.

ADDED FEATURES
A raffle will be held to raise additional funds including a (13X19) gallery-quality Cibachrome photographic print by Tibetan photographer Sonam Zoksang. Other gift items were donated by local shops in Philadelphia including Beadworks on South Street. Gifts/Prizes Available for all in Attendance.
