Madison, WI to Host the Nation’s Largest Hybrid Car Festival: Hybridfest 2006—A Hybrid Electric Car Show and More

MADISON, WI—We’re all faced with the growing concerns of rising fuel prices, climate change, and our dependence on foreign oil. Hybridfest 2006 will promote the positive roles that hybrid electric vehicles play in addressing these issues.

Hybridfest 2006 will be the largest gathering of hybrid vehicles to date, and will be the place to learn everything there is to know about hybrids.

Hybridfest 2006 will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006, from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M., on the grounds of the Alliant Energy Center, as part of the Dane County Fair. More than 100 hybrid vehicles from all over the U.S. and Canada will be on display. Hybridfest 2006 is free and open to the public, with free parking as well.

Attendees will be able to:
• test drive hybrid vehicles
• see one-of-a-kind vehicles like the EV-1, a diesel hybrid SUV, and plug-in hybrids
• view interactive exhibits
• listen to industry and environmental experts
• meet car dealers
• find out from hybrid owners what these cars are really like
