Horsham, Pennsylvania, April 20, 2006— A local Fortune 100 company wanted to do something fun and interactive for its employees after a day of corporate meetings. Instead of just going to a restaurant, the company opted for a team-building event at Horsham R/C Racing Family Fun Center.

“We wanted to do something different instead of just sitting and talking in a restaurant after a day of meetings at the office,” noted Tim Sweet, department manager at a local Fortune 100 company. “RC (remote) car racing was a great team-building event as it was slightly competitive while everyone, basically, had the same skill sets. It’s funny when competent people can’t drive so well.”

Twenty international employees from U.S., Holland and India participated in the corporate team-building event at Horsham R/C, which included both dinner and a night of racing. Racing was held on NASCAR-style oval and touring tracks at Horsham R/C’s facility. Participants were able to choose a professional RC car from Horsham R/C Racing’s large stock of the RC race cars including Trinity, Corrally and X-ray models. After preliminary instruction, racers competed against one another for time, with the best five competing in a championships race.

“It worked great and brought everyone together while having a good time,” noted Sweet. “Horsham R/C Racing was very professional and facilitated the race in a fun manner.”

During the week, Horsham RC Racing hosts corporate events, special organization events as well as slot car racing birthday parties for both adults and the younger set. The facility can host an event up to 100 racers. Catering is available as well as meeting rooms.

Horsham R/C Racing is open most weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, call the facility at 215-672-4750, visit their web site at www.horshamrcracing.com or contact Joan at jrickards@2t.com.
