A workshop on key human rights issues in Bulgaria at the threshold of is accession to the EU

The workshop is intended to review key human rights issues at a time when Bulgaria is at the threshold of its accession to the European Union. The treatment of minorities, both ethnic and religious, is the theme of this workshop and it will focus on different aspects of this important human rights issue. The orientation of the conference is to review these issues by way of open dialogue and to provide constructive criticism aimed at developing ways to meet international human rights standards.

Keynote speaker is Mr. Krassimir Kanev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee

The Workshop is in the framework of “Government & Religion”, a series of conferences on the responsibilities of Government.
