Long Island Plastic Surgical Group (LIPSG), the largest and longest continually-running plastic surgical group in North America, today announced the opening of an on-site, state-of-the art operating facility within the main office located at 999 Franklin Avenue in Garden City, NY. The new surgery suite is comprised of two operating rooms and recovery rooms.

Patients now have the option to undergo several types of cosmetic surgery in the new operating rooms, including breast augmentation, reduction or lift; face and neck lifts; eyelid surgery; rhinoplasty; abdominoplasty; and liposuction. Mercy Anesthesia Group has been contracted to administer local and general anesthesia.

“We are please to offer the latest technology to our patients in a setting where they feel comfortable and confident,” stated Barry K. Douglas, MD, FACS. “We have always offered our patients the top level of care in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. The new operating rooms are one more component in our ability to tailor our care to our patients.”

Reconstructive and lengthier procedures will continue to be offered at area hospitals. Reconstructive procedures preformed by LIPSG doctors include cleft lip and cleft palate repair, cancer reconstruction, burn and wound care, hand reconstruction, maxillofacial surgery, nerve reconstruction, microvascular surgery, and a variety of congenital malformations.
