United States patent for EagleEyeOS Professional’s new version

SaveAs Plc. has extended the range of defensive features of its EagleEyeOS Professional with two new practical functions. Due to the new development, users will no longer have to worry about subcontractors or suppliers visiting the company for a presentation obtaining information they should not see by connecting their laptop to the company network. “EagleEyeOS Professional’s new Zone forms a protective network area and prevents file access for computers outside of its perimeter. It achieves this by only making data available to computers on which EagleEyeOS is also running,” Dezso Meksz the company’s CEO explains. Meksz says EagleEyeOS Professional is already the most sophisticated software in the field of data theft (intentional or caused by employee negligence) prevention company software, but all of the solutions the new Zone function offers are so original that its patenting has already begun.

The other new function, Storage Lifecycle Tracking (SLT) shows when and to which EagleEyeOS-protected computer storage was connected and what kind of file operations were executed on it, and tracks the movement of external storage devices. “The threat of data theft has resulted that many companies simply ban the use of external storage devices or make their use impossible by means of hardware, in spite of the fact that such storage devices can sometimes be very practical,” Meksz says. He says it would be a pity if we had to get rid of pen drives, cds, PDAs, SmartPhones or even cameras from the company repertoire, since most such prohibitions backfire every now and then. EagleEyeOS Professional 2.3 identifies the device and will recognise it later when connected to another computer in the company network. The hardware identification ability of the software will show exactly who connected the device to which computer and what file operation he or she executed.

In addition to its new functions, EagleEyeOS Professional version 2.3 became available in OEM licence construction as well. In attachment to specified hardware and/or software tools, EagleEyesOS OEM licences will be distributed by the developer’s contracted partners.

Moreover, like EagleEyeOS One, developed for the protection of PCs, EagleEyeOS Professional will be available in 10 languages: Hungarian, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Chinese and Czech.
