MUMBAI, May 7, 2006: A web site developed by one of India’s leading Web solutions company, Puretech Internet, received the Official Honoree at the 10th Webby Award, widely recognised as the ‘Oscars of the Internet’.

The website for the Haas Center for Public Service (HCPS), Stanford University designed and developed by Puretech Internet (http://www.puretech.com), was chosen from among 5500 entries as a recognition of sites and teams that demonstrate a high standard of excellence.

“ The Webby honour re-affirms our philosophy in Engage. Experience. Evolve as fostered in our work for the Haas Center for Public Service website. Our primary goal was to create a highly collaborative environment with our client, providing cost-effective and cutting –edge solutions to meet with their entire web related requirements. Followed by best practices for processes, attention to detail and a great team spirit…I’d like to thank every collaborator on this project!” said Prashant Deorah, CEO, Puretech Internet.

Puretech’s role in the re-design work included user research, requirements analysis, information architecture, concept, UI and visual design, development including creation of a robust (CMS) Content Management System, supported by a customized user guideline manual. With a fresh, updated look and streamlined navigation, the re-designed HCPS website speaks to five distinct target audiences. And non-technical staff and students can easily manage upkeep of the site without compromising its complexity, design or brand.

“Puretech’s understanding of the content was excellent, considering the size, complexity and scope of the project,” said Elise Miller, Communications Director, Haas Center for Public Service, Stanford University, CA, USA. “The web design team went out of their way to explain what customization was possible or even desirable with the CMS. Ease of navigation has been the biggest boost to the site and to the functioning of the Haas Center. The CMS is much easier to use than our previous methods, and we are able to hire a student editor with little web experience to maintain the site, something that was a goal of using CMS.”

As Puretech Internet adds another feather to its cap, it has recently revived its own branding and identity design moving into the Web2.0 arena.
