CHICAGO —Today, during a special presentation at the CENTURY 21 International Convention held at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Easter Seals announced that 2005 contributions made by members of the CENTURY 21 System exceeded $5.6 million. The contributions surpassed the global real estate franchisor's aggressive 2005 national fundraising goal by more than 8 percent. Since 1979, the CENTURY 21 System has raised more than $86 million on behalf of Easter Seals and stands as the organization's all-time leading contributor.

"The CENTURY 21 System is amazing," said James E. Williams, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Easter Seals. "The collective efforts of the men and women of the CENTURY 21 System in 2005 have once again exceeded even our most far-reaching hopes. Easter Seals is fortunate to have an organization as committed as CENTURY 21 by its side to help make a difference for people with disabilities."

This morning, during the CENTURY 21 International Convention general assembly, Easter Seals and Century 21 Real Estate LLC honored the top 21 Easter Seals fundraisers in the CENTURY 21 System's network of franchised real estate offices. In addition, the top fundraising companies in each of its 27 national regions were also recognized.

"I am overwhelmed with pride, respect and admiration for the men and women of the CENTURY 21 System and their efforts on behalf of Easter Seals in 2005," said Thomas R. Kunz, president and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC. "The strength of the CENTURY 21 System truly resides in the commitment and determination of its individual members and it is an honor to recognize their tremendous fundraising efforts."
