ATKINSON, NH – Class A PGA member Marc Spencer has joined Atkinson Country Club as assistant golf professional. Well-known in area golfing circles, Spencer brings close to 10 years of experience in developing programs and teaching golf to adults, seniors and juniors – many who have gone on to win locate, state and national tournaments.

In addition to teaching, Spencer is responsible for helping expand Atkinson Country Club’s golf instruction program. An expert with golf equipment fittings, he also assists in Willowcreek Pro Shop merchandising and with coordinating golf tournaments. Prior to joining Atkinson Country Club in January, Spencer was assistant golf professional at the Windham Country Club and a teaching professional at Garrison Golf Center. He is a resident of Groveland, MA, where he resides with his wife and their daughter.

“We are pleased to have someone with Marc’s reputation and skill-level join our team,” says Head Golf Professional Peter Doherty. “I believe our current golfers as well as those looking to learn or perfect their game will appreciate all he brings to the golf program at Atkinson Country Club. Open now for the season, the 18-hole championship golf course at Atkinson Resort & Country Club has received a prestigious four-star rating from the readers of Golf Digest magazine and was named one of the top three golf courses in New England on WHDH-TV 7 in Boston.
