Tiburon, Calif. – Three Degrees Restaurant in Tiburon has appointed highly acclaimed chef Patricia Windisch as executive chef and general manager of the 120-seat restaurant and bar, slated to open in June 2006. Three Degrees is the first new full service restaurant and bar to open in the bayside town in sixteen years and is located in newly opened The Lodge at Tiburon. Karl Hoagland, CEO of Larkspur Hospitality, made the announcement.

“We are fortunate to have Chef Windisch join our team here at Three Degrees,” said Karl Hoagland. “She brings great talent to the table with her extensive culinary knowledge and passion for creating delicious and dynamic cuisine”.

Prior to joining Three Degrees, Windisch was executive chef of the Restaurant at Chateau Souverain, where food critic Michael Bauer of the San Francisco Chronicle awarded her three and a half stars for her exemplary cuisine. After that, she served as executive chef of InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel San Francisco, a four-star and four-diamond property, and most recently The Rotunda Restaurant at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco.

Windisch's culinary technique is sophisticated yet straightforward and reflects the best seasonal, market fresh local ingredients.

Chef Windisch began earning her reputation for talent in the culinary arts as a student at the Madeleine Kamman Professional Chefs School, where she was awarded the Beringer Vineyards Culinary Scholarship and graduated with dual diplomas. Windisch later went on to become executive chef at Beringer Vineyards and senior instructor at the School for American Chefs in Napa, Calif., run by Madeleine Kamman.

Windisch is currently developing opening menus for Three Degrees Restaurant and Bar as well as The Lodge at Tiburon’s poolside, lounge, room service and catering offerings that will perfectly compliment the hotel's casual Northern California elegance.
