Mon.itor.us has added new free services

Mon.itor.us had increased the list of free basic services. Last version of mon.itor.us included failure notification through RSS feeds and reports of daily uptimes history, as well as minimum and maximum performance figures for selected tests. Other improvements were reduction of emails sent out to users, a preview mode to let users see a preview of their custom website, and tag editing in Test View mode that will allow users to conveniently group tests and reports.
New features include HTTPS, POP3, SMTP, FTP tests alongside with HTTP and Ping tests. Besides Snapshot view of all your tests is available, which shows all your tests’ last results and their states.

Very good reviews and feedback had received from the users of mon.itor.us. Here are couple of them:
“I found mon.itor.us better than Montastic and Site Uptime’s free service combined. When I first used mon.itor.us, it was really slow and I wasn’t getting any idea that’s why I completely forgot about my beta account with the site. The site now loads faster and gives you a lot of data on the accessibility of the web servers you monitor”.

“Mon.itor.us also exceeds other services of its type because it also tracks the response times of your web servers. Montastic and Site Uptime just alert you whenever any of your servers are down. The two sites do not track how fast or slow your web servers are. Mon.itor.us also archives the data it gathers in monitoring your web servers. You can have a graph of your site’s uptime records and web server response times, archived by the period when these data were taken. Neither Montastic nor Site Uptime has this”.
