January 23, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Checkpoint Charlie, one of the nation's longest running club nights has announced that is to move venue.

Reading's Fez Club is to host the night when the club returns for 2005 on Thursday February 3rd.

Promoter Dave New said "It's been on the cards for more than a year '" we've had problems with new, whining bastard neighbours at the After Dark, and have had to reduce sound levels accordingly. We also wanted the flexibility that the Fez offers '" we can open up to three rooms when needed.'

Checkpoint is no stranger to The Fez '" as well as residing at the venue from 1996-1999, the club has continued to host it's infamous Bank Holiday parties there.

Although most DJs play at the club's famous "Watchtower' unannounced - a movement pioneered by Checkpoint Charlie in 1994 '" the club regularly features guest DJs of note; from Derrick May to Lottie, Laurent Garnier to Josh Wink. Billy Nasty and Mr.C are also regulars at the night.

Mat Carter and Neville Watson will continue as Resident Patrol.
