DULUTH, GA. (June 2, 2006) – Robert “Bob” Sykora, RPh, was recently named president of StoneBridge Pharma, LLC, a newly created position in which he will be responsible for all daily operations, strategy, and business development activities for the Georgia-based specialty pharmaceutical company.

Before assuming his new role, Sykora served as vice president of sales and marketing for Glades Pharmaceuticals, LLC, an affiliate of Stiefel Laboratories, Inc. During that time, he led the Glades team to the two most successful years in the company’s history while directing day-to-day commercial operations. He also has held other key positions with Stiefel including executive director of national accounts and managed care, where he created the third party reimbursement access strategies following the launch of Duac® Topical Gel (clindamycin, 1% - benzoyl peroxide, 5%) and trained an internal team with minimal managed care experience to support the Stiefel sales force.

“Bob made significant contributions since day one with out-of-the-box thinking, a tireless work ethic and a strong passion for success,” states Jeff Thompson, chief operating officer, Stiefel Laboratories. “He was an instrumental agent of change, providing broad market knowledge and diverse experience. He utilizes an entrepreneurial management style that makes him perfect for his new role at StoneBridge Pharma because Bob excels in identifying new opportunities and then building them into reality.”

Sykora joined Stiefel in February 2003, bringing 20 years of industry experience including five years at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals and Roxane Laboratories (a Boehringer division), where he held the positions of executive director for managed care/government sales and director of national accounts in the trade business unit. Prior to Boehringer, Bob spent five years at Cardinal Health. He also is a registered pharmacist and has extensive experience in the infusion and home healthcare environments.

“For me, working with Stonebridge fulfills a dream,” says Sykora. “We’re creating a unique approach to the product lifecycle but, even better, we’re creating solutions for unmet needs that are clinically useful and financially advantageous for physicians, patients and our partners while providing excellent products and superior service.”
