Dr. Richard Shaw of Sutter Health named “Mi-Co Impact Player of the Year”

Research Triangle Park NC. Mi-Co, the mobile data capture company, presented the 2006 Impact Player of the Year Award to Dr. Richard Shaw of Sutter Health for his dedication and guidance in the use of the Mi-Forms Software System for clinical applications. Dr. Greg Clary of Mi-Co presented the award to Dr. Shaw at the Awards Assembly during the Mi-Co User Days event.

Dr. Shaw is recognized internationally for his work in medical research, database development and biostatistics. He is currently Director of Research, Quality and Education for the Sutter Pacific Heart Centers at Sutter Health in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Shaw has worked closely with one of Mi-Co’s key partners in the health care arena, Optiform. The Optiform team has worked with Dr. Shaw to streamline the collection of clinical data for the cardiology and Quality departments at the San Francisco based hospital.

According to Dr. Shaw “Using Mi-Forms software and the Tablet PC technology, we now have the right person collecting the right data at one point in time”. Sutter Health, with over 41,000 employees, has a network of 28 hospitals and physician groups in Northern California.
