Houston Public Relations Firm – Bayou City Public Relations Is New Agency of Record For Las Vegas Company That Puts Outdoor Advertising on Steroids

Houston public relations firm, Bayou City Public Relations, is the new agency of record for a Las Vegas company that is putting outdoor advertising on steroids.

“Some people call it the ultimate plasma TV. Others call it the world’s largest drive-in movie. Whatever you call it, we are honored to be executing a national and international media relations campaign for Border Billboard,” says Sharon Dotson, owner of the 5-year-old Houston public relations firm.

“There is no other outdoor advertising in the U.S. like Border Billboard’s,” says Dotson. “We are having a ball informing the U.S. and Mexican media about 50-ft. billboards with sight, sound and motion and text-messaging. The San Diego/Tijuana billboard was erected in 2004. The Laredo/Nuevo Laredo board began operation in January. A third billboard will go up on the El Paso/Juarez border this fall.

Dotson says the high-tech displays enjoy a captured audience as drivers wait – sometimes up to two hours – to cross the border. Each billboard has an LED display video board, one billion colors, two ticker displays, a 23-mm. pixel pitch and a 140-degree horizontal viewing angle communicated in English and Spanish. MacDonald’s, Hummer and Disney are among the advertisers.
