OVIEDO MARKETPLACE BOLSTERS FLAG DAY AND PATRIOTISM:
“AN OLD GLORYOUS CELEBRATION”

OVIEDO, FL (June 8, 2006) – This Flag Day, shoppers will be seeing red, white and blue as Oviedo Marketplace joins hundreds of shopping centers across the nation in kicking-off An Old Gloryous Celebration, promoting this years Flag Day Holiday. The campaign launches at Oviedo Marketplace on Memorial Day with a community pledge drive to raise the flag across America this Flag Day, June 14.

From May 29 until June 14, shoppers are encouraged to visit Customer Service at the Oviedo Marketplace to pledge their support to fly the flag on Flag Day. In return, their pledge card will be posted on a commemorative display at the Oviedo Marketplace. Participants will also receive a free stick flag and an invitation to come to our Flag Day celebration on June 14.

The Flag Day celebration is at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Oviedo Marketplace food court. There will be patriotic tributes, activities, art and crafts, a special Flag Day Parade for the youngsters and refreshments to celebrate the American Flag’s 110th birthday.

“Patriotism is alive at Oviedo Marketplace and we are urging the community to come out to pledge to fly the flag this Flag Day.” said Amy Leznoff, Marketing Coordinator. “These simple actions will make a huge impact with a community united for our country.”
