TriActive America CEO Donates New Fitness Equipment to Local Community College

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF. TriActive America (http://www.triactiveamerica.com/), the nation’s leading outdoor fitness company, today announced that CEO James P. Sargen has donated three energizing items from the company’s widely expanded product line:

1) The double elliptical cross trainer, which offers a superb cardio and upper-body workout.
2) The double sit-up board, which allows two individuals to strength their abdominal muscles and core simultaneously.
3) The Nine-Function Multi-Trainer, which offers the following 9 exercises for up to eight exercisers at a time: 1) Lying hamstring strengthener, 2) knee extension, 3) chest press, 4) leg press, 5) hip adduction/abduction, 6) military press, 7) triceps press, 8) seated hamstring curl, and 9) complete abdominal work-out using two vertical ladders.

Supporting the donation, members of the TriActive America staff, including Shane Hayward, Bruce Carson, and Chris Litvinchuk, recently helped to install the equipment at the already existing Sargen Fitness Zone on the Cuesta camps. This outdoor activity area already contains an extensive array representing TriActive’s original product line, all of which was donated by Avila residents Jim and Joan Sargen. It is located near the tennis courts on Cuesta’s San Luis Obispo campus.

When the Sargens gave the original equipment to Cuesta College, they hoped that the students, faculty, and others would use the fitness zone and enjoy it as an additional feature on the campus. The response has been “very positive,” stated Jim Sargen. “In addition, recreation students have used the equipment as part of a teaching experience, and other instructors and coaches use the equipment as part of their programs.”

The TriActive CEO chose to donate the three new pieces because he wanted to “build on the positive experience from the original installation. In addition, this is an opportunity to thank those who have used the equipment for their own exercise as well as instructors and coaches. The next level of equipment complements the original installation.”
