The Founding Board Of Directors Of The State Club
Fifteen Members Of World-Class Private Club Form
The Founding State Club Board Of Directors

RALEIGH, N.C. – Reef C. Ivey, II, chairman of the North Carolina State Alumni Club, Inc. board of directors, a world-class private club located in the heart of NC State University’s Centennial Campus, announces fifteen select members as “The State Club’s” founding board of directors. As members of the board of directors, they will be an integral part of the decision making process and overall maintenance of The State Club. The State Club will serve as the finest gathering place in North Carolina for NC State Alumni and friends. The members of The State Club board of directors are as follows:

“I am honored for the opportunity to experience first hand, the growth that NC State and Raleigh are experiencing, and I am looking forward to the continued success that The State Club has already accomplished,” said Michael Warren, former NC State basketball player from the 1983 NCAA Championship team and a member of The State Club’s founding board of directors.

“I am grateful to be an integral part of the effort to make The State Club the premier location for dining and entertaining among NC State alumni and friends,” said Reef C. Ivey II, an attorney at Shanahan Law Group and chairman of The State Club’s board of directors.

In July of 2005, the North Carolina State University Executive Committee of the Alumni Association and the NC State Board of Trustees put into action their vision and dream of The State Club, by asking Chairman Reef C. Ivey II to form a board of directors and founding members who were widely diverse within the University, to create a first-class gathering place in North Carolina for NC State Alumni and friends. Located in the heart of North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus, The State Club is a world-class private club with amenities that can service up to 800 guests at a time, featuring 21-day dry aged prime USDA beef, fresh seafood and local produce. Located in the 63,000 square foot Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center, the facility is adorned with dark woods and elegant marble floors imported from Italy. Perched on the hills with a breath taking view of Lake Raleigh from the ground floor of the Park Alumni Center, The State Club contains a state of the art bar and grill equipped with four plasma big screen televisions ideal for casual dining with an upscale atmosphere.
