Landscape painter Joe Kazimierczyk will be the featured artist for July at the Harrison Street Gallery in Frenchtown, NJ from June 29 through July 30. A general "Meet the Artists" reception will be held on Saturday July 1 from 5pm to 9pm for all of the gallery artists.

Since the beginning of May, Frenchtown’s Harrison Street Gallery has had a new owner, a new crop of artists and a whole new look. The gallery is now an artists’ cooperative with over 20 local artists. It is managed by Laura Wells who owns Art Decor Frame & Gallery located right next door to the new Harrison Street Gallery. Each month the gallery will feature a different artist, and Joe Kazimierczyk will be the first featured artist here for the month of July.

Mr. Kazimierczyk paints the rural side of Hunterdon, Somerset, Mercer and Bucks Counties. His landscape paintings are done in a traditional and realistic style using either oils or acrylics. Much of his work is done outdoors, en plein air, and you can often spot him along the back roads painting the rural countryside that he loves. Joe’s work has been receiving a lot of notice in the short time he’s been exhibiting: Most recently, he was awarded Best in Show for Painting at the Ellarslie Open XXIV in Trenton, and 2nd Place in the "From Easton to Bristol" exhibition at the Howard Gallery in Hew Hope. Last year, one of his works was acquired by the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission for their permanent collection.

The Harrison Street Gallery is located at 108 Harrison Street, Frenchtown, NJ. Gallery hours are 11 am to 5 pm Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays or by appointment: call 908-996-3325.

The opening reception is sponsored by The Wine Hut of Milford and Frenchtown, NJ, and The Indian Rock Inn of Bucks County PA.
