SBA Franchise Registry Welcomes Math Monkey™

WESTON, FL. – Vedic Math Development Corporation – the U.S. franchisor of Math Monkey™ Knowledge Centers – today announced the successful completion of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) eligibility review process and inclusion on the administration’s Franchise Registry.

The SBA Franchise Registry is a national online listing of franchise systems whose franchisees receive expedited loan processing when applying for SBA financial assistance. Through the program, loan applications for registered franchises are reviewed and processed more quickly and efficiently.

The Franchise Registry enables the SBA and its participating lenders to check a franchise’s eligibility at www.franchiseregistry.com, resulting in a reduction of paperwork, time and costs.

“We are pleased to now be able to facilitate expeditious loan processes for franchisees, leading to more efficient financing for all involved parties,” said Kirsten Fisch, the CEO (Top Banana) at Math Monkey. “The SBA’s franchise registry is helping many small business owners reduce costs and cut down on the time it takes to process applications, making it even easier for Math Monkey franchises to open.”

Along with researching options for quicker financing, Math Monkey officials have worked closely in recent months with independent accountants, franchise experts and other professionals to ensure its Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) provides prospective franchisees with a clear and detailed analysis of the company.

For owners, Math Monkey offers a simple and unique business system. The supply chain is completely electronic. Franchisees do not have to deal with the challenges associated with traditional franchising companies, such as ordering perishable food, holiday-related merchandise and other time-sensitive products. Vedic Math Development Corporation has designed a system that is easy to follow and geared toward worldwide expansion.

The UFOC, available through corporate headquarters in Miami, is a federally mandated disclosure document that all franchise companies must present to potential franchisees detailing their respective companies and the potential risks. The UFOC includes a full audit of Vedic Math Development Corporation, as well as the costs associated with opening a Math Monkey franchise.

The company is now authorized to franchise in 44 states; it is anticipated Math Monkey will be authorized in all 50 states within the coming months. Additionally, master franchise partnerships and joint venture opportunities are being sought in territories outside the United States.

Math Monkey is an enjoyable way for children to learn math, as they discover there are many ways to reach the correct conclusion. The franchise teaches Vedic math – a fun system that takes the mystery out of math.

“By using Vedic math, complex mathematic problems can be solved within seconds – without the use of paper or a calculator,” Fisch said. “We will offer this quick problem-solving ability, a crucial link for academic success, to children throughout the United States, ages 6 to 10, through our Math Monkey Knowledge Centers.”

The first center, located in Weston, Fl., is now enrolling young people for the Math Monkey Summer Knowledge Jungle – the ideal program for parents who want their children to excel academically over the summer.

“Math Monkey is evolving at a strategic time,” Fisch said. “Child services are considered one of the fastest growing segments in franchising. The Math Monkey business model compares favorably to several established franchisors in the market today.”
