Space Alien Birdwatchers Release Study Results

Aliens from the planet Grogania have released the results of their earth bird watching studies, and the results can be helpful to humans looking to attract birds to their yards and gardens.

According to the findings, the aliens used models of birds to attract wild birds to selected areas. Areas without the bird models attracted fewer birds, which led the alien researchers to add more models to the research areas.

Because detailed bird models are not common here on earth, the aliens began making their own bird models, and on a few occasions, variations of earth species.

The aliens were at first concerned that the unusual models would scare the birds away, but they attracted even more birds to the research areas. This caused the alien scientists to speculate that since earth birds did not recognize the unusual birds, they did not feel threatened by them, and thus did not see them as enemies, and allowed them to freely enter the [research] area.

Zoragono, the chief scientist who released the study results, mentioned that earth birds are highly territorial, and in order to avoid conflicts with other bird species, will stay away from such ‘enemy’ birds. However, the alien bird models confused the [earth] birds because they could not be recognized as friends or foes, but because they appeared to be bird-like creatures, approached the research area without hesitation.

Zoragono mentioned that the accurate bird models attracted similar birds, and that even photos of birds worked as well.

“Humans can do a good job of attracting birds to their yards even by placing [laminated] bird pictures in their yards of the species they are trying to attract, and enjoy even more bird song than before. While feeders may keep birds around for food, it was found that similar species were more quickly noticed by the passing birds, causing them to stay in the area, especially when the food in the feeders was found,” said Zoragono.

The complete results of the study are to be printed in the July 2006 edition of the Space Alien Newsletter, which is published by the Unlocked Mind Newsletter Company. It is reported that the writers at the Space Alien Newsletter communicate with space aliens telepathically, and that the resulting articles are published in the monthly newsletter.
