Photoguard shakes up the insurance industry

Photoguard has been providing specialist cover for photographers and their camera equipment for the last six years. The increase in cover limits will now allow small studios and photographers with large collections of equipment, cost effective photography insurance cover.

Professional photographers can now insure up to £50,000 with Photoguard Pro, with amateur and semi professional photographers being able to insure up to £25,000 with Photoguard Select.

Both products offer cover under the ‘create your own cover’ philosophy – where customers are able to select the elements of cover, so they save money by only paying for what they actually need.

Photoguard Pro cover includes:
• Theft and accidental damage to equipment
• Public liability cover
• Personal accident cover
• Props cover
• Accidental damage to portfolio
• Hire cover

Options available:
• In vehicle cover
• Upgrades to EU or worldwide cover
• Liability upgrades between £2 and £5 million
• Liability cover for assistants and colleagues
• Flexicover (the ability to insure the total amount but specify a smaller amount that you regularly take out). This reduces the premium as only up to 50% is at risk outside the studio.

Photoguard Select cover includes:
• Theft and accidental damage to equipment
• Hire cover

Options available:
• In vehicle cover
• Public liability cover
• Personal accident cover
• Area cover upgrades to EU or worldwide

Sarah Gow, Sales Director of Pavillion commented, “The improvements made to Photoguard through its unique ‘create your own cover’ approach, allows customers total flexibility to choose the cover that’s right for them at a price they can afford. The ability to mix and match benefits to create a tailor made policy enables an individual solution for every customer. It’s a refreshing change to ‘like it or lump it’ all inclusive camera insurance policies.”
