Rising Solutions Expands India Executive Team

Rising Solutions, Inc., a leader in IT consulting, enterprise application development and business process outsourcing, today announced that it has appointed Murali Krishnan to the position of General Manager, India operations and Balasubramanian (Bala) Sivasankaran to the position of Director of Engineering. Mr. Krishnan and Mr. Sivasankaran will provide management direction from the company’s Chennai office. Rising Solutions delivers enterprise-class domain expertise and software application solutions to companies in the U.S., India and Asia through a combination of on-shore, near-shore and off-shore delivery models.

About Murali Krishnan, General Manager, India Operations
Murali Krishnan has more than 17 years of IT management experience in Australia, Singapore and India with both large enterprises and start-up companies. Before joining Rising Solutions, he was Regional Manager at Altiris Singapore, where he led sales, marketing and services for India and the SAARC region. He was also Vice President of the global product management group at Polaris Software Labs in Chennai, where he had a leading role in pricing, product marketing and product pre-sales for the company’s retail banking products. Prior to Polaris, Mr. Krishnan was Assistant General Manager at Chennai-based 3i Infotech Ltd., an enterprise solutions provider, where he led the product and resource management groups.

From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, Mr. Krishnan was eGain Communications’ Asia Pacific Technical Manager in Sydney, Australia. During that period, he also served as a senior consultant at Computer Associates offices in Singapore and Sydney, where he worked with system, network and IT security products. Earlier in his career, he held positions as a systems engineer, systems administrator, software engineer and programmer at International Video Products, ITEC/Singapore Institute of Standards & Industrial Research, Digital Equipment India and Intel Data Systems.

Mr. Krishnan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Computer Science from Bangalore University. He is ITIL-certified in project management and has conducted numerous courses, training sessions and workshops in Windows, Unicenter TNG, eGain eCRM products and CA security products.

About Balusubramanian Sivasankaran, Director of Engineering
Bala Sivasankaran has more than 23 years of IT experience, including more than 10 years in management roles where he has provided technical leadership to software development teams. His particular areas of strength are in product engineering, network software development and J2EE product and application development. Before joining Rising Solutions, Mr. Sivasankaran was Associate Vice President of ISG Novasoft Technologies Ltd. in Chennai, where he headed teams developing regulatory compliance, business intelligence (BI), financial services and enterprise risk management applications. As General Manager, Projects at Telesis Technologies he was responsible for technology development and the management of core banking operations projects.

Mr. Sivansankaran has also served as General Manager, Core Technology for Chennai-based SIP Technologies and Exports, the Indian development partner for industry leaders such as Motorola, Sun Microsystems and Zaplet. While at SIP, he held a key role in the development of JCKs (Java Compatibility Kits) for core Java, J2EE, J2ME and other projects, as well as having overall responsibility for team competence building in e-commerce, network management software, embedded Java and object-oriented analysis and design.

Mr. Sivasankaran holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, 1st Class, from the University of Madras.
