Boca Raton, FL…The ACT! Users Group of South Florida will hold its July 10, 2006 meeting in a new location – the Internet. Previously, the meetings were held at the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach, Florida. The meeting, like others in the past, is sponsored by nationally known ACT! consultant, author and trainer, Karen Fredricks, of Tech Benders.

Fredricks is organizing and serving as the moderator for the evening. Tim Meile of Swift Page E-Mail will demonstrate his popular ACT! add-on product that helps ACT! users to send e-marketing campaigns directly from ACT!. Users log into the meeting site on the Internet and accessed a conference call to allow them to attend the meeting virtually as well as pose any questions or comments they have.

According to Fredricks, "The ACT! Users Group of South Florida has been going strong for the last 6 years. However, many interested ACT! users can’t attend because they are located in areas other than South Florida. Holding the meetings virtually allows users everywhere to attend.”

“I am really pleased by the positive reaction that these meetings are receiving,” continued Fredricks. “Our guest speaker will call in from Colorado and be able to demonstrate his product as if we were all in the same room.”

Fredricks has over 20 years of computer consulting and training experience, during which time she has acquired in-depth expertise in the operational requirements of a broad spectrum of businesses. Author of three ACT! ForDummies books, she is also the editor of the ACT! Extra newsletter. A frequent guest on numerous computer radio talk shows, Fredricks is an ACT! Certified Consultant, an ACT! Premier Trainer and a former member of ACT!’s Partner Advisory Council. She was selected to host the Fort Lauderdale stop of the national launch of ACT! 6.0, which took place in August, 2002. Fredricks is also a QuickBooks Pro Certified Advisor and author of copyrighted training materials for business users of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, Basic Windows and the Internet.
