During the fabulous 50’s, there was a personage that was to become the reigning queen of Hollywood––the beautiful Grace Kelly of Philadelphia, Pa. In 1955 she won the Academy Award for her part in Country Girl. In 1956 she became Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco. The charming, lovely daughter from Philly had become a Princess! Was there not a little girl in the country who did not admire her and dream also of being a princess?

She is wearing her signature, classic head-cover of a silk scarf crossed under the chin with the ends trailing over her shoulders.

This photograph of Princess Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier was taken by renowned photographer Ralph B. Holloway. It was taken in 1968 in San Antonio, Texas at the World's Fair. She was in town doing a ribbon cutting for the opening of a Neiman Marcus Store.

She has been the subject of numerous photographs, but none has been as true to her beauty and grace as this unposed shot captured by the artistic hand of noted photographer Mr. Ralph Holloway. This photo personified all that she was and all that she shall ever remain.
