Salt Lake City, Utah-The Muscular Dystrophy Association concluded its annual summer camp on Tuesday, June 13th in Salt Lake City, Utah. The camp joins together kids and adolescents with neuromuscular diseases and enables them to confront their disorders using alternative sports and activities designed to accommodate varying needs.

This year the camp theme was "comic book super heroes," it allowed campers to participate in activities such as wheel chair races, a super hero parade and even a superhero dance. There was also a surprise Harley Davidson show for the campers during lunch. The campers were lodged at the Salt Lake Airport Hilton for the week and traveled around Salt Lake to various locations to participate in the camp’s many events.

MDA organizes 92 weeklong camps nationally each year and is the largest non-governmental sponsor of neuromuscular disease research. Each camper attends at a cost of $600, funded by charitable donations.
