FyberSearch Adds a Spell Checker to Search Results

June 29, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Burien, Wash. - June 29th, 2006 — FyberSearch has developed it's own in-house spell checker program and implemented it on the web search results. The spell checker has proven to be extremely useful in tests but has been launched in beta to work out any remaining bugs.

Unlike some other similar tools, this spell checker may make suggestions even if the word in question is spelled correctly. This feature may be changed in the future depending on how searchers react. An example of the spell checker can be found at the following URL: http://www.fybersearch.com/search.php?q=fyberserch.

"It is exciting to finally be able to offer our searchers with a spell checking service." Says Nathan Enns, Founder & President of FyberSearch. "Beyond the benefit to users, it is also an important step in distinguishing us from several competitors."
