SEATTLE, June 29, 2006 – Crystal Springs, a DS Waters (www.water.com) bottled water brand, has been named a sponsor of two food festivals in Washington. The company will serve as a platinum sponsor of the 2006 Taste of Tacoma and a presenting sponsor of the 2006 Bite of Seattle. Crystal Springs will provide bottled water to both food festivals. Taste of Tacoma will be held from June 30 through July 2, 2006, at Point Defiance Park, while Bite of Seattle will be held from July 21 through July 23, 2006, at the Seattle Center.

In addition to the sponsorships of the food festivals, Crystal Springs will be sponsoring Seattle’s 19th annual Taste of the Nation event, which will be held on the evening of July 20, the night before the Bite of Seattle kicks off. Crystal Springs will be donating 1,000 bottles of water to this charitable event, which donates ticket proceeds to its goal of ending childhood hunger. The event will be held at the Fisher Pavilion at the Seattle Center, and over 1,000 guests are expected to attend. Details can be found at www.tasteofthenation.org.

“We are pleased to be able to be involved with both of these prestigious food festivals and to lend our support to the important efforts of Taste of the Nation,” said Joseph Silva, National Marketing Manager for parent company DS Waters. “Attendees can count on Crystal Springs to provide quality bottled water and quality service at these events, and at their own homes as well.”

Crystal Springs will have two booths at the Taste of Tacoma and three booths at the Bite of Seattle. At each of the food festivals, approximately 15 representatives will be on hand, giving away water and demonstrating the company’s range of water dispensers. Representatives will also be offering special introductory deals for those who sign up at the food festivals for business or home water delivery of bottled water. In 2005, nearly 100 people signed up for service at the Taste of Tacoma, while approximately 300 people signed up at the Bite of Seattle.

The 21st annual Emerald Queen Casino Taste of Tacoma presented by Crystal Springs Water will feature 28 restaurant booths, three concert stages, and a comedy stage, as well as an extensive wine tasting event.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Comcast Bite of Seattle presented by Crystal Springs Water. Visitors can enjoy over 100 food booths and a variety of activities for young and old. Over 150 acts covering a range of musical genres are slated to perform at the festival.
