Labelview Release 8.1

June 29, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Labelview have announced the release of Labelview 8.1 barcode labelling software. The latest version offers a new software activation method along with support for over 50 new printer drivers.

All versions of Labelview 8.1 (Basic, Pro & Gold) use a software activation method which replaces the conventional hardware protection key (dongle) that was previously required to run Labelview. The activation process is made simpler with the release of 8.1, and requires only that users validate the license on their PC using the activation code they receive with the installation CD. With this new software activation process, users no longer have to worry about the inconvenience of hardware key-related issues.

With this most recent upgrade, Labelview has also extended printer driver support to additional printers from the Datamax, Paxar, Sato, Tec, Toshiba and Zebra ranges.

Existing users of Labelview 8 can upgrade to version 8.1 free of charge. The hardware dongle used with version 8 can still be used with 8.1. Labelview 8 network and Pocket Labelview 8 users may need to upgrade the hardware dongle.

Users of version 5 or versions 6 have the option of upgrading to the latest version until October 1st 2006. After this date, it is not possible to upgrade from version 5 or version 6 to any later version of Labelview.
