The experience of finding the right partner, whether looked at in the context of business relationships or on a personal level, can either be disheartening or energizing – in the case of BCA it has been established as the latter, stated Principals Larry Cohan and Vanessa Jimenez.

The dynamic duo, determined to achieve the goals established during recent BCA Strategic Planning sessions, welcomed the opportunity to expand into new frontiers by inviting an exceptionally talented and knowledgeable individual, Mr. Ken Tobin, to take the reins at the new Central Florida office.

And while a branch office is in and of itself noteworthy, so is Mr. Tobin’s position within the firm. Not only will he be managing the Celebration branch office, but he has also been named as the third Principal for BCA.

Ken’s extensive knowledge, diversified portfolio and passion for the discipline rendered him and BCA a perfect match. Larry very candidly stated: “It felt like commercial time during the Super Bowl as I paged through his resume, I could hardly wait to see what was coming next”. Mr. Tobin, registered to practice Architecture in 6 states, is affiliated with several organizations within the field, including the AIA, CNU & ULI and has a career history that conveys 20 years of excellence in planning, design, production, construction administration and business administration – all factors which reinforced the firm’s commitment to move forward with its strategic plan geared towards growth in new areas.

Ken’s extraordinarily absolute professional history is includes project management of the master planned community of Celebration, Florida, master planning and design of Bayside, Delaware, conceptual planning and design for Greater South Market, in Prince William County, Virginia, master planning and design of the Aurora Award winning Harbor Oaks community in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and the master planning of the Hershey Arena entertainment complex, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In addition, he served as an Instructor of Architecture within the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.

“While the firm has always been seen as capable of taking on any project, the addition of Town Planning, Single-family Residential, Mixed-Use and Hospitality Architecture as sectors of specialization further enhances the comprehensive suite of services that we are known for”, said Cohan.
