Rough Rider Technologies announces the release of version 1.8 of their Self-Defense Process (SDP) software. This program secures sensitive information on a laptop, desktop or network drive. The SDP uses data hiding techniques on word processing, spreadsheet, database and other file types in case the laptop is stolen or lost; or the desktop or network drive is compromised by an unauthorized intruder. The software also secures music, video, or pictures from unauthorized users. The software can be downloaded for a free two-week trial period from their Web site at www.roughriderinc.com. Rough Rider Technologies is an information systems security research company founded in 2001 and specializes in developing solutions for securing data and executables.
