JRI Recordings announces the release of its latest CD: "Vienna Revisited" (catalog number J121), featuring pianist Frederick Moyer in works of Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert and Czerny.

If there is a capital of classical music, it is Vienna, home to these great composers and many others. Remarkably all of these works were composed in Vienna in a span of only forty years. “Vienna Revisited” creates a panoramic vista of the greatest minds of classical music composing for piano during this fertile period. Included are late works of Mozart and Haydn, Beethoven's powerful “Pathetique” sonata and Schubert's “Opus 90 Impromptus”, which many consider his finest set of piano pieces. And as an encore: a charming etude by Beethoven's student, Carl Czerny.

During over twenty-five years as a full-time concert pianist, Frederick Moyer has established a vital musical career that has taken him to forty-one countries and to such far-flung venues as Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Sydney Opera House, Windsor Castle, Carnegie Recital Hall, Tanglewood, and the Kennedy Center.

He has appeared as piano soloist with world renowned orchestras including the Cleveland, Philadelphia and Minnesota orchestras, the St. Louis, Dallas, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, Boston, Singapore, Netherlands Radio, Latvian, Iceland and London Symphony orchestras, the Buffalo, Hong Kong and Japan Philharmonic Symphony orchestras, the National Symphony orchestra of Brazil, and the major orchestras of Australia. His twenty-one recordings on the Biddulph, GM and JRI labels comprise works by over thirty composers and reflect his affinity for a wide variety of styles.
