RICK LINKLATER ON RU SIRIUS SHOW PODCAST AS THE PROGRAM CELEBRATES ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Celebrating one year of podcast programming this July on Show #51, The RU Sirius Show, on The Mondo Globo Network will feature an interview with film director Rick Linklater. Linklater will talk about his new film, A Scanner Darkly, based on the Philip K. Dick novel of the same name. Show producer Jeff Diehl says “We’re nuts about Dick.”
The counterculture-oriented program has featured such guests as filmmaker Terry Zwigoff, graphic novelist Daniel Clowes, rock stars Blag Dhalia and Richard Hell, sex blogger Violet Blue, Burning Man leader Larry Harvey, author Dave Eggers, and Mark Frauenfelder from www.boingboing.net
.

Show host RU Sirius was one of the earliest advocates of Internet culture. In 1989, he created the first popular digital culture magazine, Mondo 2000. He has written such books as “Cyberpunk Handbook” and “How To mutate & Take Over the World.” He collaborated with Timothy Leary on Leary’s last book, "Design For Dying.”

Joining Sirius on this interview as guest co-host is comedian and Philip K. Dick fan Brian Malow. Regularly featured co-hosts on the program are actress, Diana Brown and writer, Steve Robles. Sirius says that talking with Linklater about “A Scanner Darkly” is the perfect way for the show to celebrate its first birthday. “We’re total Dick heads,” he said. “And so is our audience.”
