Fine artist Mark Rushton has been creating ambient-like, colorful abstract landscapes for more than 15 years. His latest three paintings, Yellow And Green Textures, Haunted Gardens, and Haunted Gardens (detail) are available at art.markrushton.com as framed prints that can be purchased for under $50 before shipping.

Rushton has been building up his online presence as a supplier of art prints for the past year and now has over 30 images available in his store. The inspiration for him was visiting the opening of the Cafepress.com fulfillment center in Louisville, Kentucky, in July of 2005. Rushton was able to see the quality of the printing first-hand, and was inspired to make more print-oriented art at an affordable price.

The prints are perfect for the home or office. All prints are custom manufactured using archival inks and acid-free paper. Framed prints are matted and framed in a stylish black frame with plexiglass cover. Frames include complete backing. The frame size for all of Rushton's prints through Cafepress.com are 15" x 19".

"I believe that art should be affordable so that lots of people can buy and enjoy it," says Rushton.

The inspiration for Rushton's paintings come from the music he produces, which is a blend of ambient, electronica, and natural recorded sounds mixed together. Rushton's CDs ("The Driver's Companion" and "Hum and Drift") and pay digital downloads are currently available at such sites as BuyIowaArt.com, iTunes, Amazon.com, TowerRecords.com, Cafepress.com, Napster, Rhapsody, Emusic, and CafePress.com. Rushton also puts out a free monthly podcast of newer or live material that can be downloaded at podcast.markrushton.com. Rushton also has free MP3s at mp3.markrushton.com.

Rushton is currently producing more paintings to be made into prints for his art store. He hopes to have hundreds of more prints available in the next year or two.
