SUDBURY/WAYLAND, Mass., — Prominent business leaders from Sudbury and Wayland are being accused of “having a big heart for Jerry’s Kids”. They are being “arrested & serving time” in MDA’s Maximum Appreciation jail at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury on July 27, 2006 in efforts to raise money for the Central Massachusetts chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The MDA “Lock Up” will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each participant will be sentenced to “raise bail” by contacting friends, family and coworkers to encourage contributions that will advance MDA’s lifesaving programs. Several local businesses are supporting this multi-community event by providing transportation for the jailbirds and other donated items. The “bread and water” for the jailbirds is being provided by the Wayside Inn.
MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat neuromuscular diseases through worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.
