WEST HOLLYWOOD, Cal., July 20, 2006 – Benny “The Voice” Mardones is scheduled to perform at the Entertainment Publicists Professional Society (EPPS) mid-summer mixer on Thursday, July 20th at the Key Club in West Hollywood. EPPS has brought together individuals from all areas and levels of entertainment publicity, including those in marketing and promotions, for over 15 years. Members include professionals in the fields of broadcast and cable television, home entertainment, film, music, performing arts, new media, and sports. Mardones, whose first original album in 15 years, Let’s Hear it for Love, was released this summer, will be performing his new single, “The Train Don’t Stop Here Anymore,” as well as old favorites such as “Into the Night.”

“EPPS is doing a great service for the entertainment industry by allowing an open, inviting forum for professionals to share advice and wisdom,” says Mardones. “Marketing and public relations personnel know how to form the perfect connections between the business, the artist, and the consumer. They’re the backbone of any record label.”

In addition to Mardones’ new album, which features guest appearances by Eddie Money and Katrina Carlson, Benny is the subject of an up-coming documentary called, Into the Night: The Benny Mardones Story. The film, which will be released this fall, chronicles his ride to stardom, his battle with drugs and alcohol, and his subsequent rallying thanks to the unwavering support of his friends, family and fans. Benny is currently scheduling upcoming tour dates, including a number of special appearances at non-profit gatherings, in particular those that support and honor members of the disabled community.

The July 20th mixer will be held downstairs in The Key Club’s Plush Lounge from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Appetizers and cocktails will be served, and guests will have a chance to win prizes at the end of the evening. The event is free to members of EPPS and $20.00 for guests. Singer-songwriter, Aron Cowen, of Sherman-Oaks will also be performing.

Benny Mardones’ next appearance will be on July 22nd in Smithtown, N.Y., venue TBA.
