bigg’s IS A GOOD NEIGHBOR FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY

CINCINNATI, Ohio, July 26, 2006 – bigg’s and the Greater Cincinnati Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) team up for MDA’s “Caring Makes Good Neighbors” program.

Running through September 3, “Caring Makes Good Neighbors” mobiles are available at all twelve Greater Cincinnati bigg’s locations including Skytop, Cincinnati Mills, Colerain, Delhi, Eastgate, Harrison, Highland Ridge, Hyde Park, Mason, West Chester, Western Hills and Florence.

As MDA’s Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon is approaching, bigg’s customers can show their support of the fight against neuromuscular diseases and help “Jerry’s kids” by buying $1 “Caring Makes Good Neighbors” mobiles to decorate the stores in “smiles.”

MDA (www.mda.org) is a non-profit organization not funded by United Way or the Federal Government and is the number one provider of neuromuscular research. This voluntary
health agency works to defeat more than 40 neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. The largest fundraiser for MDA is the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, which will be featured locally on WB-WSTR Channel 64 on September 4th from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
