OCALA PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS TO HOST 1ST ANNUAL BIKERFEST TO BENEFIT MDA

Saturday’s highlights include a Poker Run originating at Jugs & Strokers in Belleview, Fla., 12170 S. E. U.S. Highway 441, and ends at the Ocala Southeast Livestock Pavilion and local bands performing throughout the day.

Sunday’s feature events are performances by international recording groups; Molly Hatchet, Black Foot and The Atlanta Rhythm Section, which begins at 12 p.m. and a raffle for a Custom Big Bear Venom Chopper valued at $50,000. Tickets are available for purchase at $100 per ticket.

Throughout the weekend event, there will be numerous vendors with motorcycle gear available for purchase, door prizes will be awarded to attendees, 50/50 drawings and WIND FM will be broadcasting live from the event. In addition, the first 500 people in attendance will receive a free T-shirt, compliments of the Ocala Professional Firefighters, Jugs & Strokers and WIND FM.

Funds raised through the Ocala Bikerfest give MDA, a voluntary health agency, the means to continue providing direct services, research and professional and public health education to children and adults with neuromuscular diseases in Central Florida.

Free medical services are available in Orlando at MDA’s Clinic at Nemours Children’s Clinic and at Orlando Regional Lucerne for individuals diagnosed with any one of the 43
neuromuscular diseases covered by MDA. In addition, MDA is able to provide a summer camp tailored to the needs of children, from age 6 to 21, with muscular dystrophy.
