Top Ten Trouble-Shooting Tips for your Computer System

MTI Tech Solutions, a local computer and IT support firm in Phoenix,Az. announced the release of their top ten trouble-shooting tips for computer system problems. MTI emphasized that an individual should try these ten tips before contacting a computer service provider.

MTI also added that computer system problems are inconvenient and often times unpredictable, especially during the Valley’s hot summer months and monsoon season. MTI’s certified support staff compiled the top ten tips based on the most common issues that people face with their technology systems on a daily basis.

The following are the top ten tips:
1) Make sure everything is plugged into a working power source.
2) Make sure all the peripherals i.e. keyboard, monitor, mouse, etc. are plugged in.
3) Check with your Internet service provider to see if they are experiencing any outages or problems.
4) Shut down your computer properly and reboot. NEVER simply power down unless the computer will not respond to the shutdown.
5) Boot in Safe Mode to see if computer will work properly under this function.
6) If the problem began after you installed new hardware or software, uninstall the new hardware/software and see if this corrects the issue.

7) If your computer has intermittent, yet persistent problems check online for Microsoft updates.
8) Check for Viruses.
9) Check for Spy ware.
10) Call MTI for help.
