NASHVILLE MAN ELECTED TO MDA NATIONAL LEADERSHIP

During MDA's annual meeting last week in Los Angeles, Tom Robinson was
named a national vice president. MDA vice presidents use their areas of
expertise to support the lifesaving programs and activities of Association.

Robinson is the vice president and chief operating officer of the J.H.
Harvey Company in Nashville.

"MDA recognizes Tom Robinson's demonstrated leadership and selfless
commitment to service," MDA President & CEO Gerald C. Weinberg said. "We
can be sure that his contributions will be of inestimable value to the
Association's search for treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy
and other muscle-wasting diseases."

MDA is working to defeat more than 40 neuromuscular diseases through
programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. MDA maintains 235 clinics nationwide, including a clinic at Tallahassee Neurological Clinic in
Tallahassee, Fla.

The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon will be broadcast Sept. 3-4,
originating from the South Coast Hotel in Las Vegas, and can be seen on
WCTV, Channel 6, in the Nashville area.
