WESTON, FL – August 16, 2006 – With the fall schedule about to be in full swing, Math Monkey™ officials today appointed Lisa Lynn Vanderperre, PhD., as Director of Learning.

Vanderperre is in charge of the Math Monkey curriculum, a revolutionary supplemental education service that helps kids excel by teaching them math in a fun and challenging environment. She also mentors teachers and serves as the lead teacher at the knowledge center in Weston, located at the Weston Town Center, 1642 Town Center Circle.

“We intend to use Lisa in the training and start-up phases of new units, replicating the great success at Weston in our expansion stores,” Fisch said. “We are impressed by her leadership ability, stemming from years of experience teaching at institutions of higher education. Her commitment to excellence in mathematics education will bring much success to our other franchise members as well.”

Vanderperre, who resides in Plantation, Fl., said she looks forward to working with certified Math Monkey instructors during the fall calendar of courses, which begins Monday, Aug. 21. She is also eager to teach the wonders of Vedic math, an ancient approach to mathematics that allows children to perform calculations mentally with great accuracy, simplicity and speed.

“It is extremely satisfying to give kids an advantage in mathematics and logic that will help them excel in the classroom and beyond,” Vanderperre said.
